Walking in her home city of London, Alice finds an endless amount of these unwanted belongings. These meetings with found objects are her personal connection with public space. Through many layers of meditative process and material testing she attempts to capture the spark of that first meeting.
There is an uncanny playfulness to Alice’s work. The soft creases of fabric and foam are captured in surprising ceramic, holding the viewer in their own moment of encounter with form and surface.
